SpendVue Template Guide

This guide contains important instructions on how to submit your financial data through our secure data portal so we can begin building your custom SpendVue dashboard. For security reasons, please do not send us any financial data directly over email.

Before you get started:

  • Please use the latest version 2.0 of the SpendVue Template - download this here
  • Before going any further - Depending on your access to financial systems (Sage/Netsuite/Xero etc.), you may wish to forward these instructions to someone in your finance/IT department with the access/experience to gather this data.
  • Data must be provided in a flat Excel file. The File extension should be one of the following (.xls/.xlsx/.csv), and where possible, it should be provided on one Excel sheet.
  • Data should cover a 12-month period - Our SpendVue reports typically cover a minimum of a 12-month period, however, this does not necessarily need to match a financial year period. Any 12-month timeframe is fine. 
  • Financial fields required:

We require the following financial fields to be able to produce a SpendVue report, this information allows us to go into sufficient granularity.

  • During the upload process: please provide the following SpendVue ID: <<This is provided by your ERA Contact>>
  • Other Important Information:
    • Ensure that there are no/few blank vendor entries.
    • Ensure that income or wage data is excluded.
    • Ideally the file should be from an Accounts Payable export and should exclude financial reporting data such as depreciation/amortization etc.
